Description

This qualification is specifically for taxi drivers (Hackney or Private)Community Transport  and Chauffeurs.It is the way ahead.  The delivery is mainly carried out in the workplace by qualified assessors.  There are two workshops which you need to attend covering customer service and defensive driving.  The workshops provide the knowledge for your NVQ.  The remainder of the qualification is gained through observation and discussion with our assessor whilst you work and a case study.  On average you should achieve the qualification within three to four months.  Below is an outline of the content -

NVQ Levl 2 in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving.  There are seven mandatory (must do) units

Six "must do" units are common to Taxi drivers, Community Transport, Chauffeurs alike -

Unit 1 Health & Safety in the Road Passenger Transport Industry

Unit 2 Driving vehicles safely and efficiently

Unit 3 Customer Service in the industry

Unit 4 Dealing with Difficult passengers

Unit 5  Dealing with emergencies and incidents during a journey

Unit 6 Providing a transport service for passengers who require assistance

Unit 7 "must do" varies according to occupation -

Taxi - Hackney, Private Hire and Chauffeur - Transport of Children

Community Transport - Effective working relationships within the industry
