Rewards Apprenticeship Academy

Thinking of recruiting?.....Thought of taking on an apprentice?  Why you should...

The Rewards Apprenticeship Academy delivers the essential knowledge for a novice employee in Business Administration or Customer Service at the start of their employment and apprenticeship programme. This ensures they have the skills your business needs upfront whilst gaining the experience they may lack, before becoming fully embedded in your workplace!  So why not recruit a new apprentice and book a space on the academy for them today!

How does it work?

  • Register your apprentice vacancy with us today, and receive our support if you wish, to recruit your candidate.

  • Apprentices will come into the Academy for 2 days a week, for a total of 8 weeks. During their time in the academy, Apprentices will undertake blended learning, that is a combination of taught and directed self-learning, as per the academy course schedule, under the supervision of an experienced specialist trainer.   Apprentices will also be set workplace research tasks to support this learning and make it relevant to your workplace. In addition, an allocated trainer will visit the apprentice every 4 weeks in the workplace to mentor the young person during this initial period of their programme/employment.

  • All new apprentices will undertake initial assessment, induction and receive a guidance visit before entering the academy so that their timetable of learning can be individualised to meet the learner and sponsor employer's needs. You will then receive a copy of their individual learning plan, which will be reviewed regularly as part of the trainer visits.

  • On graduation from the academy the learner will receive more regular visits (2 weekly for 16-18 year olds, and 3 weekly for 19+) in the workplace where their trainer will assess how well they are able to apply their skills and identify any further learning required.

  • The Academy is a rolling program, which has the advantage that your apprentices can join all year long, with no waiting for the next programme to start. You can maximise their enthusiasm without losing any momentum!

What are the benefits?

  • The recruitment and selection process can be supported free of charge by Rewards if required
  • Full / Part funding is available for the apprenticeship including academy training
  • Apprenticeships offer learning towards recognised qualifications
  • Apprenticeships are an accepted method of staff development by ISO and IIP
  • Higher staff motivation and retention
  • Over 80% of consumers favour using a company which takes on apprentices

If ever there was a time for you to consider Apprenticeships as a real benefit to your business ...  that time is NOW!

A ‘young apprentice' is defined as 16-18 however the myth that Apprenticeships are only something one does directly after leaving school is incorrect!  Apprentices can be of any age, providing they are working a minimum of 30 hours a week! What's more, full or part funding is available (for non graduates) whilst apprentices are in training!  So consider an Apprenticeship for your existing staff too!!
