Welcome to Rewards 'Pathways to Work' programme (England Only)

What is Pathways to Work?

'Pathways to Work'  is an independent service for people who are on benefits due to ill health, disability or accident. We provide impartial advice and support to people who want to returm to suitable and sustainable employment.

What it's not

At Rewards we do not operate the 'Pathways to Work' programme as a quick fix. This is not about us placing you into any old job whether it is right for you or not. This is about us providing you with the right support to find and sustain employment in a job that is right for you

Who is eligible?

You can apply for help from 'Pathways to Work' if you are claiming certain benefits because of a health condition or disability. If you are claiming Employment Support Allowance (ESA) for the first time, or are claiming again after having previously been on Incapacity Benefit, or have been on Incapacity Benefit for some time you will automatically be considered for 'Pathways to Work'.

How does Pathways work?

You can contact us direct (see contact us) and a trained advisor will arrange an appointment for you to come in and meet us. You can also pop in and see us at one of our offices in either Haywards Heath, Crawley or Brighton. The Pathways programme offers individual support and access to a wide range of help. Interviews will be with a personal advisor who will: -

  • discuss work opportunities with you helping you to focus on what you can do, not what you can't
  • help you to identify suitable goals for work with consideration for your health condition or disability
  • explain the support that may be available to address key health and non-health related obstacles
  • tell you about any financial benefits you may be entitled to once you start work

However you arrive at Pathways, we will work with you to:

  • assess your individual barriers to employment
  • provide tailored help and support
  • search for suitable employment
  • provide in work support if you feel this would benefit you and enable you back into sustainable employment
