Harlands Group

I have found Rewards to be very professional, approachable and supportive.

I am impressed with the many services they offer, from basic numeracy and literacy courses to comprehensive Team Leader development. The courses are accredited, well structured and can be tailor-made to individual needs.

The Academy Scheme was of particular interest to us. We were keen to develop a partnership with Rewards to support young people in the workplace.  Rewards source the candidates for us to interview. Successful candidates attend the Academy 2 days a week for approx 8 weeks, where they complete a number of modules, for example; Customer Service Principals, Time Management, Telephone Techniques, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Team-working. Rewards visit the workplace regularly to assess and support our employees. Regular progress meetings are held with them and their Team Leader. This support continues for approx 12-14 months until they have successfully completed the NVQ.

Kate Singleton, Customer Service Manager,  Harlands Group

"Train the Trainer" course delegate

Hi Stephen

Just to say I really enjoyed yesterdays "Training for Trainers" Course - Lorraine was FAB!  Also I thought the city centre venue was excellent, clean, intimate and easy to find.  But all the above wouldn't have been so successful if the administration and communication hasn't been so good! So thank you to YOU also - for arranging it all for me.

All in all the experience was very "REWARDING"

Thanks again - I will most definitely recommend you to others looking for training.

Kath Lord-Green

Elite Hotels

"We have been working with Linda Powell [Director of Work Based Learning, Rewards Training] for a number of years. The training and support that they offer is second to none. The people undertaking learning have been fully supported throughout by experienced tutors who have worked at times and at a pace to suit the individual and the business. I have no hesitation in recommending Linda and her team."

Paul Coley, Group Personnel and Development Manager, Elite Hotels.

Plastica Ltd

I have worked with [Rewards Trainer] Christine Skinner on a quite few occasions. Firstly on an NVQ in management for myself and then further training for my team. I love her training style; she definitely changes her style to suit the student. A very, very good listener and has a knack of bringing out the best in you, well she did with me. If you need to off load your worries you can and then she says ‘Come on kid, pull yourself together' and then generally has a solution! Brilliant. Her experiences have led her to be full of knowledge and understanding of situations within the work place and how you as a student can deal with them. Everyone in my team that has worked with Christine has enjoyed their time together and I am pleased to say a 100% pass rate.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Christine and her services and will speaking to my manager to secure some development time for myself in the future.

Cale Sinfield, Customer Services & Marketing Manager, Plastica Ltd

Our Dynamic Earth

Here at Our Dynamic Earth we have been offering our staff Modern Apprenticeships through Rewards Training for a number of years.

We find it very beneficial to the employees as well as the business as a whole. Not only do the staff who participate grow in confidence and develop within their role, they also feel that the company values them and has invested in them.

From a business point of view this program is cost efficient, low maintenance and it motivates and encourages staff which is a win win situation.

I personally have found working with Rewards a pleasure as everyone I have had contact with has been professional with high levels of customer service and the feedback from staff about their tutor has been excellent.

Kim Gibson, Customer Experience Manager, Our Dynamic Earth

Girlguiding Scotland

Our organisation has worked with Rewards for several years, finding them very professional and helpful when we are seeking to fill a junior position.

Rewards have always supplied us with a high selection of candidates to choose from, and we have found our chosen recruits to be of a high calibre; reliable and eager to learn. Many have stayed several years with our organisation, developing skills and progressing to more superior roles.

Thanks to the dedication of the Rewards team and our account manager, John Smith, we have once again found an employee that fits perfectly within our organisation.

Lorraine Luby, Executive Director's Assistant, Girlguiding Scotland

Giles Insurance Broker

Having worked with Rewards within Giles and in my previous organisation I have always found them professional, helpful and a great company to do business with.  I have always received an excellent level of service from the account manager Maria to the assessors, they are all consistent in approach to quality and delivery who all have a passion for people which comes across in what they deliver.  All of the candidates from Giles have found the qualification beneficial and a great way to improve skills and knowledge

Kirsty McLelland, Learning & Development Manager, Giles Insurance Broker

The Arches

Since the beginning of our involvement with Rewards, in October 2009, I've really appreciated the high levels of professionalism, the quality of advice and support I was given by each of the Rewards' employees I was dealing with.

Thanks to the help of a dedicated team and of the main assessor that Rewards provided for us, many of our employees have successfully gone through a vocational qualification in their sector or a modern apprenticeship programme. This is allowing us to move our training strategy forward and with the help of Rewards to become a SQA centre.

All our employees have given very positive feedback about their assessor Steve Worsfold.  I personally appreciate the level of communication, the degree of feedback he has given me regarding the progress of our employees.

Magali Bourgeois, Human Resources Manager, The Arches

Community Alarm Telecare Service

I recently attended a Presentation Skills course on the 6th and 13th October 2010 with some of my staff which was ran by Lorraine Carruthers, who works for your organisation.   I wanted to pass on how useful and enjoyable the course was, and in particular how good a trainer Lorraine is. The course was interesting and informative which, in the main this was down to Lorraine handling the topic well and occasionally supporting staff through what was a slightly difficult subject matter. I would certainly be keen to use your organisation again in the future.   I'd appreciate if you could pass my appreciation on to Lorraine's line manager.

David Brown, Senior Officer, Community Alarm Telecare Service, Edinburgh.

Micronas

Micronas Ltd. were unable to find a suitable educational program at our local college and were forced to look for an alternative solution to meet the development needs of our first line management staff.

Rewards TRC (Scotland) were able to offer exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable cost. The ILM Level 3 First Line Certificate in Management course was delivered as an in-house training program.

The senior management team and the candidates themselves have been extremely impressed with the lecturing staff and the standard of the teaching materials that were made available. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Rewards TRC team to any business looking for tailor made in-house training solution.

Testimonials from Rewards learners

Health & Social Care Level 3 " I gained lots of knowledge whilst working towards my NVQ and really enjoyed the journey." (AW)

Business Admin.  Rewards training helped me to expand on my existing administration skills. I was able to turn the skills & knowledge  I picked up  whilst working in the office into a recognised qualification.  I also learned new skills with Rewards such as more knowledge on health & safety awareness,i.e., what things to look for when carrying out a health & safety audit.  We worked on “working with others”  this helped me to build on working relationships with others in the office. I also learned how to manage my time and be more assertive when it came to handling a several tasks at one time. " I would recommend this course to anyone working within an office environment". (JR)

Modern Apprenticeship Business Admin evel 3.  I achieved my qualification in August.  Rewards provided me with good support and advice all through the duration of the programme.  The programme itself gave me the knowledge and understanding of business practices such as Health and Safety awareness and personnel legislation. " As I left school after my standard grades and didn't sit higher exams, the SVQ award has enabled me to expand on my qualifications which will benefit me throughout my working life."   (LW).

Renaissance Care reap the Rewards of Training

The Managing Director, Anne Gordon, Renaissance Care recommends Rewards to anyone seeking professional training support.

"Renaissance Care is very pleased with the training service supplied by Rewards.  We have received SVQ Level 2 and Management training at Milford Care Home and Levenhall Care Home and we will continue to use Rewards for training at our new care home Glencairn.  The managers say the training is excellent.  The assessors spend time with the candidates.  The trainers provide unobtrusive guidance during direct observations.  We recommend Rewards to anyone seeking professional training support."

Capital Logistics

I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you and pass on our thanks for the work you and the Rewards team has put in with us in recent months.

We have been thoroughly impressed throughout our relationship with Rewards.  From the initial consultation stage where we discussed needs, analysed just what we wanted to achieve and engaged in all manner of possible options, the process was fast, efficient and professional.  We have undertaken the Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications at level 3, NVQ in Business Management at level 3 and also learndirect Microsoft training.  All the course content, delivery, workplace briefings, office support and online assistance has been first rate.  The standard of work and performance from the candidates has increased since undertaking the courses and the desire to learn new skills and gain certification and accrediation continues to rise across our business.

We have enjoyed our time working with the entire team at Rewards and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.  Long may the relationship continue.

Best regards.  Mark Franklin, Business Development Manager, Capital Logistics Ltd.

Inkfish Call Centre

The level of service Rewards offers is excellent. The company listens to what our business actually needs and offers the most competitive personal package, rather than being happy with just making sure we buy something from them.  The NVQ's in particular have helped us to develop and retain our call centre staff with 82% of those who started NVQ's in April 2007 still with us and many having been promoted into higher roles.  The average length of employment for a call centre agent is 18 weeks so it's great for the business that we can offer people something that makes them want to stay much, much longer.

John Lesley, Training Manager

Modern Apprenticeship

Hey Jennifer,

Just a small note in regards to the learning journey which you assisted me in.

The course enabled me to detach myself from the daily workload and allow me time to view my work through a different lens. I found the training to be both interesting and also enlightening at times with many concepts needing further exploration.

Your skills in teasing out answers made the course more exciting and with the personal/professional relationship that we formed allowed me to feel more at ease. As I am sure you are aware, my mind is a minefield and it was with great skill and acceptance that you managed to keep me focussed, pointing me in the right direction when I was becoming sidetracked.

I thank you for the time that you have given me and the new knowledge that you have assisted me in acquiring. Lastly, I feel that you should be commended for the hard work that you put in and also for the way that the training was implemented with you using a multitude of skills to make the training more interesting.

Thanks once more.

The Richmond Fellowship

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland has been working in partnership with Rewards for almost two years now. In that time, we have put two junior posts through their recruitment and training scheme.

I have found the support staff at Rewards very professional and they have a great hands-on approach when it comes to their candidates. This has led to both of my junior posts attaining their SVQ awards. From my experience, I would recommend this route to any organisation that is considering recruiting at a junior level, for development potential.

Louise Chyla

Office Manager, The Richmond Fellowship Scotland

I would have no hesitation in using Rewards' service again and would most certainly recommend Rewards to any employer considering recruiting and investing in young people.

Lisa Tait, Customer Service Manager, Office Depot

Scottish Building Society

We have used Rewards to recruit our junior administration staff for a number of years because we have found the calibre of candidates is generally much better than we find by advertising directly.  Rewards staff are always very friendly and helpful, and our staff who have completed the Modern Apprenticeship find it a very positive experience.

AVS Learning & Development

Rewards are delivering our ILM management training to our branch and deputy managers which started in January 2008 and will conclude to the certificate level by April 2009.

ILM training is starting to provide the branch management team with a clearer understanding of their job definition and purpose; it has further helped develop self esteem by encouraging a greater understanding of what is expected in leadership and people development.

AVS Fencing and Rewards have also embarked with NVQ training throughout our branches using Distribution & Warehousing Advanced Modern Apprenticeship and Team Leading.

We are intending to continue to invest in professional training with Rewards throughout 2009

Andrew Johnson.
